Tom has been observing, recording and photographing global birds and wildlife since the ‘seventies. In 1987 he moved to Brisbane, Australia and taught himself how to track-down most of the birdlife of Queensland by learning the calls, behaviours and characteristics of the species. To date, he has seen 683 bird species in Australia (553 in Qld). Since 2009 has assisted various academic-organizations in analyzing bioacoustic data-recordings, taking part in bird surveys and creating media to increase ‘natural-awareness’.
