Named for the surrounding wild peaks of the Scenic Rim, Wild Mountains is a paradise of sub-tropical rain forest and open eucalypt woodland.
The center nestles on the NSW border at 625m elevation and is about 1 hour and 45 minutes due south of the Brisbane, and an equal distance inland from the Gold Coast.
As a 76 hectare Nature Refuge adjoining the wilderness World Heritage Border Ranges National Park, Wild Mountains preserves its precious natural heritage thus helping protect Australia’s Gondwanaland rain forests.
