Tool shed on the up
Our tool shed is finally underway. With the original shed literally falling down due to termites it was time for a makeover big time! Thanks to a grant from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Wild Mountains will finally have a dedicated purpose built shed for equipment that is spread out or stored in places all over the property. Posts are in and floor framing complete thanks to our volunteers with flooring to go on soon to be followed by the shed.
A huge thank you to Ian Murray of UBIQ who has donated 30 sqm of INEX board. Ian, a long time supporter of Wild Mountains first helped us during our capital fundraising campaign when as part of Rockcote, he donated low VOC paint for the hall and amenities. Now with UBIQ his INEX Magnesium Oxide board is a compressed fibre cement sheeting with a difference, more environmentally sound, stronger and with a wide range of applications.
Also a big thanks to Shaun O’Donnell and Nicole Zuo from King Architectural Engineering in Ipswich for donating their engineering services in order to guide us with the build. Shaun has also generously volunteered his engineering services for the Whiptail project.
It all shows again just how much the community supports Wild Mountains vision and the important work that goes on here.
