Our first Earthkeepers Program for the year really got close to nature. Our long term participant Noosa Pengari Steiner School came back to Wild Mountains for another class adventure with 26 students in 4 days of rain.

This didn’t seem to phase the students overly as they showed much enthusiasm over the activities, donning raincoats and heading out into the jungles, before coming back into the warmth of the fire in the main hall.

All in all the program went off like clockwork with first time program volunteers Matt de Boer and Ben Spokes helping with activities while Jaide and Cyrille provided yummy meals from the kitchen.

Thanks goes out to - Saba Issa, Matt de Boer, Andrew, Leanne, Teagan, Seth and Kaiden Wallace, Emma Window, Dee Vanban, Kathi, Ben Spokes, also for the impromptu visit from chef Koni and friends Hayley and Ines.

What a great weekend! Especially finishing up on the Sunday over at the camp site watching the sunset after achieving a good amount of valuable work.

Yes its hard to believe but there will be no more Amenities Cladding.

If a tree falls in the forest can anybody hear?

 
It’s been a variable summer when it comes to rainfall. Just when you think it’s finally the wet season, then a long dry spell sneaks in, and just when you think that the land is in dire need of drenching, it comes down in bucket loads.
 
And just in time too. The ISV Forest plantings from the last few years are really coming on. The tiny trees of 2012 needed constant watering through the latter half of last year but are now well grounded and shooting up past their tree guards. I think...
